Our Story
Who We Are
The Will To Live Foundation was born out of a deep commitment to the men and women who have sacrificed so much in service to our country. We believe that every veteran deserves more than gratitude — they deserve real, tangible support.
Our foundation was established to bridge the gap between the challenges veterans face and the resources they need to thrive. From housing instability to financial hardship, we stand ready to help.
We are a community of volunteers, donors, and advocates united by a single purpose: ensuring that no veteran is left behind.

Why a 90-Day Runway Matters
For veteran families who are currently housed but facing financial strain, one month of emergency assistance may address an immediate crisis without resolving the pressures that caused it. The Will To Live Foundation's 90-Day Blueprint is designed as a comprehensive stabilization pathway that strengthens financial readiness, connects veterans with career and community resources, addresses critical family needs, and creates opportunities for their children through youth athletics. Our goal is not simply short-term relief. It is to help participating veteran families build a stronger foundation for long-term housing stability, income growth, financial confidence, and independence.

Financial Readiness & Path Forward
Housing Stabilization & Financial Assessment: Participating veteran families will begin with an assessment of household expenses, financial pressures, income, and immediate barriers to housing stability. When funding is available, eligible assistance may help address qualifying housing or utility needs while the family begins its stabilization plan.
Veteran Resource Navigation: Participants will be connected with appropriate existing veteran and community resources, including VA resources, Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF), housing resources, and other programs for which they may qualify.
Youth Athletic Access: Eligible children of participating veteran families may receive assistance through our Youth Athletic Access program. Funding is designed to help cover qualifying costs associated with participation in a youth sports league or athletic program, allowing young people to pursue the sport that fits their interests rather than limiting participation to one specific sport.
Career & Workforce Navigation: Long-term family stability requires sustainable income. Participants will be connected with established workforce-development and career-transition resources that can assist with professional attire, résumé development, interview preparation, career readiness, and employment opportunities.
Financial Education: Participants will strengthen their financial knowledge through structured financial-literacy education, including budgeting, credit, saving, debt management, and long-term financial decision-making.
Transportation & Stability: Transportation and utility barriers can directly affect a veteran's ability to maintain employment and family stability. As funding and resources become available, eligible families may receive assistance designed to address qualifying transportation or utility needs.
Financial Literacy Completion: Participants complete the financial-education component of the 90-Day Blueprint and develop practical strategies for budgeting, credit management, saving, and responsible financial decision-making.
Student-Athlete Empowerment: Eligible student-athletes may apply for our Youth Athletic Access Student-Athlete Empowerment Awards. Award packages are designed at the $5,000 and $10,000 levels, combining Athletic Access funding with educational stipends tied to non-performance milestones such as financial literacy, professional development, community mentorship, and academic standing.
Path to Long-Term Stability: At the conclusion of the 90-day pathway, participating families will have a personalized foundation for continued financial growth, employment and resource navigation, housing stability, and greater family independence.

The 90-Day Blueprint represents The Will To Live Foundation's planned program model. Program availability, financial assistance, scholarships, and individual services are dependent upon funding, eligibility, available resources, and program launch capacity.

Year-One Impact Goals
With a Year-One baseline fundraising goal of $400,000, Will To Live Foundation is building the capacity to launch and responsibly operate its three core veteran-family programs. These goals represent planned service capacity and are dependent upon funding, eligibility, verified need, and available program resources.

Veteran Families
Build capacity to support up to 20 qualifying veteran families through the 90-Day Blueprint, including housing and utility stabilization, financial education, career and resource navigation, and family stability support.

Youth Athletic Access Opportunities
Build capacity for up to 40 youth opportunities through sports access assistance and Student-Athlete Empowerment Awards for eligible children in veteran families.

Transportation Interventions
Build capacity for approximately 20 qualifying transportation interventions designed to help remove transportation barriers affecting employment, healthcare access, and essential family responsibilities.

A Message From Our Founder
"As an Army Veteran and Iraq war deployment survivor, I know firsthand what it takes to build resilience and navigate high-pressure transitions. As a high school basketball coach, I see every day how structured teamwork, discipline, and positive mentorship can change the trajectory of a young person's life. We created the 90-Day Blueprint because veteran families facing financial hardship deserve more than a response to the immediate crisis—they deserve a structured pathway designed to strengthen long-term stability, financial readiness, and independence. My background in military logistics (88M) also shapes our commitment to practical transportation solutions, including our active vehicle donation program, while my experience on the court reinforces our belief that children in veteran families should have access to the benefits and opportunities organized sports can provide. We are building a foundation designed to strengthen the entire veteran family. Join us as a founding partner."
